On December 23, 2022, Professor Chen Zhong, Deputy Director of the UM Confucius Institute, and all volunteer teachers sent by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation attended the “2022 Annual Conference of the Alliance of Confucius Institutes in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and High-end Forum on Quality Improvement of International Chinese Education and Brand Building of Confucius Institutes”.
At the Conference, the alliance members summarized the achievements of this year, discussed the development of the Confucius Institutes, and jointly discussed the alliance’s work goals for the coming year. Professor Chen gave a speech, introduced the experience in curriculum design, events and brand building of UM Confucius Institute, and exchanged thoughts with other members. In addition, UM Confucius Institute won the Best Organization Award, and two students of UM Confucius Institute, SHIRLEY LOH and JASON QUA SIY, won the Merit Award at the Chinese Culture Knowledge Contest.
