On October 14, Professor Zheng Zezhi, from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Xiamen University, was invited to give a lecture on the topic of “Corpus Linguistics: Ideas, Methods and New Horizons” to 300 staff and students. Professor Chen Zhong, Deputy Director of the UM Confucius Institute chaired the seminar. Professor Xu Jie, Dean of FAH and Professor Yuan Yulin, Head of UM Department of Chinese Language and Literature, both attended the seminar.
