On November 14 2020, the “Teaching Chinese as a Second Language Workshop for the Primary and Secondary School Teachers in Macau” jointly organized by the Confucius Institute of the University of Macau and Centre of Languages of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau was held at the Centre of Languages. With the theme of “Teaching Chinese as a second Language -What to teach? And How to teach? ”, this event was divided into morning session and afternoon session. Professor Chen Zhong, the deputy director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Macau presided over the event. Professor Huang Yi, President of the Macau Linguistic Association, Ms. Cao Xiaomei, a senior Chinese teacher at the Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School, and Mr. Ng Kaming from Pui Ching Middle School were invited to shared their teaching experiences at the workshops.
